Polygel is a UV-curing gel product that is ideal for strengthening the natural nail or creating extensions with either classic tips or forms. Its unique, firm consistency, reminiscent of soft modeling clay, prevents the gel from flowing during the build. This gives you ample time to sculpt the perfect nail shape at a relaxed pace. A major advantage of Polygel is its versatility: it comes in a range of beautiful colors that can be used on their own or serve as a reinforcing layer under any Gel Polish color. Another benefit is that it is not necessary to remove it every time you want new, beautiful nails – a simple refill approximately every three weeks keeps them maintained and elegant.

Like all other products from The Gel Collection, our Polygel is developed without 21 harmful and unwanted chemicals. It contains added minerals that enhance both durability and strength and is formulated to be easily soluble for gentle removal that protects the natural nail. Our products are, of course, vegan, free from palm oil, and carefully developed and produced in Europe.

How to strengthen or extend with PolyGel – step by step

PolyGel can both strengthen your natural nail and build length – the routine is the same.

1. Prepare your tools – brush, a small dish of cleaner and a lint-free wipe. Keep the brush lightly dampened with cleaner throughout so the gel doesn't stick.
2. Prep – file length and shape, push back the cuticles, buff the surface lightly, clean with cleaner and apply primer (air-dries in 60 sec.). Watch the prep video guide →
3. Base coat – a very thin layer, seal the free edge, and cure the whole hand in the lamp.
4. Reinforce – or extend – with PolyGel – pick up a small bead with the spatula and place it close to the cuticle. Pat it towards the cuticle, out to the sides and towards the tip – seal the free edge. Flash-cure 10 sec. per nail, and fully cure the whole hand at the end. Want length? Build the extension on forms or tips first, then build the shape the same way. Extension on forms → on tips →This product is used in step 4
5. File the shape (if desired) – remove the sticky layer with a wipe and cleaner, file the nail, and wipe it free of dust.
6. Gel Polish colour (optional) – two thin coats on top of the reinforcement, cure between coats.
7. Top coat – seal the free edge, and cure.
8. Nail oil – wash your hands and finish with oil at the cuticles and under the nail.
