The best result starts before the colour goes on. Primer 21FREE+ is the invisible layer between nail and gel that makes your whole manicure sit better and last longer.

The thin, clear liquid is applied to the clean nail and dries in seconds. It degreases the nail plate, removes the last of the moisture and leaves a micro-thin film for the gel to bond to. The result is stronger adhesion from the very first layer and markedly less risk of lifting.

The formula is acid-free, without the aggressive acids known from classic primers. It is gentle on the nail and a natural part of the 21FREE+ universe.

A gel bonds best to a surface that is completely clean, dry and free of oil. The primer's carrier evaporates in seconds and leaves an ultra-thin layer of bonding polymer for the gel to grip. In other words: better contact between nail and gel, a stronger bond and longer wear.

How to do a perfect prep – step by step

Prep is preparing your natural nail – it is always the first step, whether you are applying Gel Polish, strengthening or extending. A good prep is the foundation that makes everything last.

1. File length and shape – with a 220/240-grit file.
2. Remove cuticles – push back, and trim excess cuticle if needed.
3. Roughen the surface – buff lightly with a 100-grit buffer, well into the sides. Do not file off the nail layers.
4. Clean and prime – clean with cleaner on a lint-free wipe until the nail is matt and dry. Then apply a thin layer of primer and let it air-dry for 60 sec. Do not touch the nail afterwards.This product is used in step 4
5. Continue with your product – base coat, Gel Polish or reinforcement.
