Our 21FREE+ Top Coat is the final seal that protects your gel manicure and gives your nails a perfectly glossy, professional finish. It locks the colour in, brings out the depth of the shade and leaves the surface smooth, clear and mirror-shiny.

The formula has a smooth, self-levelling consistency that makes it easy to apply in a thin, precise layer without streaks or brush marks. It flows evenly over the colour and settles from edge to edge, so the shine is uniform all the way around the nail.

Top Coat is applied as the final layer and cured in the UV/LED lamp. As it cures it forms a hard, glass-like surface that seals the colour and protects against everyday wear, so your manicure keeps looking glossy, smooth and fresh.

It's the layer that catches the light. And the layer that holds the whole manicure together.

The nerdy explanation

21FREE+ Top Coat is built on two film formers: Acrylates Copolymer and Cellulose Acetate Butyrate, also known as CAB. Together they help create a smooth, clear and even surface with high shine. CAB is especially known for its crystal-clear finish and is used in formulations where the surface needs to look glossy, smooth and almost glass-like.

When Top Coat is cured under UV/LED light, the ingredients bind tightly together and form a strong, protective film on top of the colour. It's exactly this film that gives the mirror-shine finish and helps protect the manicure against dullness, scratches and daily wear.

In other words: high shine, a strong seal and a finish that looks professional long after application.

How to do it – step by step

1. Prep – file length and shape, push back the cuticles, buff the surface lightly, clean with cleaner and apply primer (air-dries in 60 sec.). Watch the prep video guide →
2. Base coat – a very thin layer, seal the free edge, and cure the whole hand in the lamp.
3. Gel Polish colour – two thin coats, cure between coats.
4. Top coat – an even layer, seal the free edge, and cure in the lamp. It gives the shine and protects the colour.This product is used in step 4
5. Nail oil – wash your hands and finish with oil at the cuticles and under the nail.
