About our Gel Polish

Gel Polish is a UV/LED-curing gel colour that gives you glossy, long-lasting colour for up to three weeks. It can be used on your natural nails as a classic Gel Polish manicure, or on top of a reinforcement or extension when you want extra strength, shape or length.

Our innovative 21FREE+ Gel Polish formula from The Gel Collection combines intense pigmentation with a full, creamy consistency that gives you calm, control and precision during application. The formula spreads evenly across the nail without running into the edges, making it easier to create a smooth, even and professional look.

The optimised pigmentation gives the colours beautiful depth and even coverage. The Full Cover shades are built up with two thin layers, while the transparent colours are deliberately designed for a lighter, more sheer look. The Ultra Cover shades have extra high coverage, so the nail tip doesn't turn translucent against the light — perfect for Gel Tip extensions, for example.

In the top of the cap you'll find real Gel Polish, so you can easily see the actual colour in the bottle and quickly find the right shade in your collection.

The specially developed brush has ultra-fine, elastic fibres and a slightly curved brush head that follows the natural shape of the nail. That makes it easier to work close to the cuticle and create a smooth, precise finish with fewer visible brush marks.

The formula is also developed without the ingredients that typically evaporate and contribute most to the sharp smell. The scent is therefore milder, while the gel better keeps its full, creamy consistency throughout the life of the bottle.

Curing times

To get both long wear and a safe experience, it is important that the product cures correctly. Our products are carefully tested with our own UV lamps at the following curing times:

• Smartfold™: 60 sec.
• Travel lamp: 90 sec.

If you use a lamp from another brand, we unfortunately cannot promise the same correct curing – and that can affect both durability and safety. You can read more about why here.

How to apply Gel Polish – step by step

This routine is a classic Gel Polish manicure from start to finish – from prep to cuticle oil.

1. Prep – file length and shape, push back the cuticles, buff the surface lightly, clean with cleaner and apply primer (air-dries in 60 sec.). Watch the prep video guide →
2. Base coat – a very thin layer, seal the free edge, and cure the whole hand in the lamp.
3. First coat of Gel Polish – thin layer: place a small bead in the centre of the nail, push it towards the cuticle, pull it down and out to the sides, seal the tip and cure. If it doesn't cover completely, that's perfectly normal.This product is used in steps 3 and 4
4. Second coat of Gel Polish – the same way as the first, and cure.
5. Top coat – seal the free edge, and cure.
6. Nail oil – wash your hands and finish with oil at the cuticles and under the nail.
